WATCH: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle open up to Oprah in ''shocking'' interview and the first teaser has been released
A teaser for Oprah's television interview special with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been released.
The 30-second trailer shows Oprah and the couple. Oprah asking Meghan '' were you silent, or silenced?''. This interview will not hold back it seems as Oprah says in the teaser '' I just want to make it clear to everybody there is no subject which is off-limits''.
While nothing Meghan said was revealed, one comment from Harry was, presumably about why they stepped back from their roles. 'My biggest concern was history repeating itself'', seemingly addressing his late mother Princess Diana.
The interview will cover many topics, including the couple’s decision to step down from their royal duties, which they made official on February 19. “While we are all saddened by their decision, the duke and duchess remain much-loved members of the family,” Queen Elizabeth II said in a statement. The pair, who married in 2018, responded that they will “remain committed to their duty and service to the U.K. and around the world” and added that “service is universal.”.
The 90-minute interview will broadcast on CBS this Sunday, 7 March.
