Second Act For Live At The Marquee 2019 Has Been Announced
The latest act for Live At The Marquee has been announced
Aiken Promotions announced today that Christy Moore will return to play Live at the Marquee Cork in July. Tickets for this date go on sale this Thursday 15 November at 9am.
Christy recently released a new single Sail On Jimmy, which was recorded at the Marquee when he performed there earlier this year.
‘I just love singing Albert Niland's song. More than any other, it has become an instant hit with audiences everywhere. We recorded this version at The Marquee in Cork on June 30th, 2018. 4,000 people, who had never heard the song before were singing beautifully by the end of the 3rd chorus….it was a joyful and memorable moment ….a stand out memory in 52 years of gigging.’ Christy said.
Christy also recently released a new album. Many new listeners ask about a collection of his most popular songs. Over the past two years, Christy has recorded all gigs and gleaned a new collection – On The Road - which features 24 songs recorded at 17 venues.
Previously announced for Live at the Marquee is Australia's Tash Sultana who will take to the stage on Wednesday July 3rd. Tickets are already on sale.
