Singer George Michael Has Died
Ex-Wham star George Michael has passed away at the age of 53.
2016 has taken another well known name as news just in has revealed that singer George Michael has passed away at his home.
The singer who shot to fame during the 1980s when Wham! came on the scene "died peacefully at his home" according to his publicist.
In a statement his publicist said:
"It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period.
"The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage."
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the star's death.
