Snapchat Have Introduced An Interesting New Feature...
This is a huge change!
Snapchat have revealed their newest feature called Memories.
The Memories feature will allow you to save "personal moments" to the app for sharing with others in future beyond the usual 24 hours for a Snapchat story.
The feature can be found below the camera button by swiping up to view what you've saved as your memories. You can also search for particular nostalgic moments through the app and can be shared or watched from there.
Snapchat have explained the reason behind the new feature:
"You can use Memories to create new Stories from Snaps you’ve taken, or even combine different Stories into a longer narrative! It’s fun to celebrate an anniversary or birthday by finding a few old Snaps and stringing them together into a new Story :)
We’ve also created a new way to send Snaps from Memories to your friends, or even post them to your Story. If you post a Snap you took more than a day ago to your Story, it will appear with a frame around it so that everyone knows it’s from the past."
The new feature should be available within the next month. None of your saved memories will save to your phone so everything will be contained within the app therefore Snapchat are working on ways to securely save your memories to its servers.
