The Coronas Join The Bill For The Guinness Jazz Festival
The news was announced yesterday.
In case you missed yesterday's news, The Coronas have been added to the line-up for the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival.
The band will join the likes of Gary Numan, Booka Brass Band, The Drifters, Aslan, Jack L, Jerry Fish and The Boomtown Rats for the 37th annual Jazz Festival which will run from the 22nd to the 26th of October 2015.
The Cork Opera House Line Up is as follows:
Thursday October 22nd
The Boomtown Rats
Friday October 23rd
Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow
Saturday October 24th
The Coronas - 20:00
Booka Brass Band - 23:30
Sunday October 25th
Gary Numan
Monday October 26th
The Drifters
Other acts performing over the weekend in other venues include Aslan, Blackalicious, The Darius Brubeck Quartet, Marcus Miller, Cassandra Wilson, Grace Kelly, Peter King & Urban Jazz, Jack L, Savina Yanatou, GoGo Penguin, Colin Stetson & Sarah Neufeld and The Phil Ware Trio.
The Guinness Xtra Music Trail will also take place around bars and clubs in the city centre with the likes of The Pearly Whites, The Busquitos, Divine Intervention, Blues Brothers Banned and The Jabronis invading Cork.
You're sure to come across plenty of street performances from the likes of the New York Brass Band and the Lamarotte Jazz Band. A wide range of stalls will be present at the Food Market which will certainly keep those tummies satisfied as you make your way from venue to venue.
