This Is What Making A Murderer's Brendan Dassey Looks Like Now!

We would not recognise him!

Everyone is so caught up in the Netflix sensation that is Making A Murderer that it's easy to forget that the footage we're watching is ten or eleven years old!

Brendan Dassey, the nephew of Steven Avery, made a statement to police confessing his involvement in the murder of Teresa Halbach. However as we see throughout the series in phone calls to his mother, Dassey frequently changes his mind on whether he actually was involved or not. It's widely believed that Brendan is innocent and was coerced into confessing by police as a result of his low I.Q. levels.

Brendan was only 16 years old at the time of his arrest which was shown in the docu-series. Therefore Dassey has spent about a decade in prison since the footage we have all watched on Making A Murderer. He is now 26 years old and we certainly wouldn't recognise him!

In a picture posted by his cousin, Carla Chase on Twitter, we see the 26 year old posing with his mother Barbara at Christmas time. Through Carla's tweets we learn that Dassey has been moved to a different prison to protect him.

Sorry everyone, Brendan has been moved to Columbia prison in Portage Wi. He is doing ok & making new friends. This was 4 his safety.
