Walking On Cars To Receive European Award
Dingle's Walking On Cars are to receive a European award recognising their success outside of Ireland.
The band have been chosen among the honourees at the upcoming European Border Breakers Awards which takes place in Groningen, The Netherlands on January 11th and is funded by the European Commission.
Other recipients of the award are Alan Walker (Norway), Jaakko Eino Kalevi (Finland), Namika (Denmark), Hinds (Spain), Filous (Austria), Jain (France), Dua Lipa (United Kingdom), Era Istrefi (Albania) and Natalie La Rose (Netherlands).
All of the acts will perform at the awards ceremony which will be hosted by Jools Holland.
Walking On Cars are the seventh Irish band to receive the accolade as they follow the likes of Hozier and The Script as well as other international stars such as Adele, Disclosure, John Newman and Mumford & Sons.
On the night of the awards ceremony a Public Choice Award winner will also be announced after a public vote on the European Border Breaker website.
