WATCH: Ed Sheeran Performs Original Galway Girl At Last Night's Dublin Gig
Ed Sheeran played the first of his two sold out nights in Dublin last night.
The 26-year-old is currently in the middle of his European tour and played the 3Arena last night and will take to the stage again tonight in the capital.
Sheeran was spotted earlier in the week filming a music video for his next single, Galway Girl, in a pub in Salthill in Galway as well as a spot on Shop Street in the city where he used to busk as a teenager.
The song is a collaboration with Irish traditional band Beoga with Niamh Dunne, one of the members of the band, being the girl in question in the song. When Ed released the original tracklist before the album was unveiled, many commented on the name of the song and whether it was a version of the original Galway Girl.
Last night in Dublin, Sheeran gave a hat tip to the original song, performing it live on stage with Beoga as well as his own Galway Girl of course!
