WATCH: Ellen DeGeneres Shares Touching Tribute to Carrie Fisher
TV host Ellen DeGeneres has shared a special tribute to the late actress Carrie Fisher.
The actress who was mostly known for her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars died on December 27th following a heart attack after already suffering a previous heart attack on a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles less than a week before her death.
Ellen has paid tribute to the star by sharing a hilarious montage of the funniest moments Fisher shared with DeGeneres on her show.
Carrie only recently appeared on the show and was always a popular hit with audiences.
Speaking about the actress, Ellen said, “I want to say something about my friend, Carrie Fisher.”
“I knew her for a long time. She has been on the show many times, and the last time was just a month ago,”
“And I loved when she was here. She made me laugh so hard. She was smart, she was funny, she was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her."
Ellen ends the tribute with “I miss you, Carrie. I love ya.”
