Will this be the very last music video made by the group? Only time will tell.
Can you hear that? Yes indeed, that is the sound of hearts breaking all around the world as One Direction release their music video for their last single before their hiatus.
The video for "History" shows the current group, made up of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Mullingar's Niall Horan, against a simple brick wall while black and white footage plays in between. The old footage sees the boys from their creation on the X Factor, through to their first music video for "What Makes You Beautiful", fans chasing their cars, their first arena tour and right up to their stadium gigs, one of which being Croke Park in Dublin.
Zayn Malik who left the group in 2015 is not forgotten and is shown frequently in the nostalgic clips of the group.
It is unknown whether the group will definitely reform as reports circulated that it is a permanent split for the worldwide stars.
Lets hope it really is just a hiatus after 5 years of non stop work!
