X Factor Category Breakdown Already Announced!
The show hasn't even aired yet but we now know which judge will mentor each category!
It's the earliest we've ever learned what categories the X Factor judges have been assigned and there's one surprise!
For the first time in the show's history, Simon Cowell is in charge of the girls group for this year's contest. He did mentor Leona Lewis back in 2006 but the girls category did not exist at this stage as the groups were divided by age.
Louis Walsh, famous for coaching the groups has once again landed the groups category for this year's show. How can we forget Louis' passion for Jedward! If rumours are true this would mean Louis will have the group category for the sixth time during his time on the reality show.
It is reported that Nicole Scherzinger has been handed the boys category which should suit her well as she previously overlooked the same category in 2012 bringing Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur to the final with Arthur being crowned as winner.
This means that Sharon Osbourne will be taking care of the Overs category which she has already mastered after she producing a winner in the form of Sam Bailey back in 2013.
It is thought the information about which judge had which category was leaked after a live audience was in attendance for the Six Chair Challenge round of the competition.
There has been no official confirmation that this is how the categories will be divided but there isn't too long left to wait as the X Factor returns to our screens next month!
