Cork Earns Another Michelin Star Restaurant

Cork has earned another Michelin star restaurant.

Bastion in Kinsale was awarded the coveted star at a ceremony in London with inspectors saying chef Paul McDonald's "exacting dishes often exhibit an innovative and even sometimes playful element, whilst at the same time displaying depth in their flavour and texture."

This is Cork's fourth Michelin star restaurant with Bastion joining Cork city's Ichigo Ichie, Baltimore's Mews Restaurant and Ballydehob's Chestnut, who all held on to their stars for another year.
